  • Sport Relief

    Fri 13 Mar 2020
We would like to say a huge thank you for supporting our Sport Relief fundraiser!  It was great to see so many of you dressed in our theme of 'anything sporty'.  Children in KS1 had a fun afternoon with their families taking part in our hide and heek with Spot the dog event followed by a dancing and singing session!  Pupils in KS2 - KS5 did an excellent job in creating class stalls for everyone to enjoy as well as take part in morning activities including sponsored walks and dancethons!  Well done everyone.  The money raised will be donated to Sport Relief!!
  • Duke of Edinburgh Royal Visit

    Wed 11 Mar 2020

On Wednesday 11th March 2020, young people involved in The Duke of Edinburgh's Award (D-of-E) from both New Fosseway and Bridge Learning Campus spent time with HRH The Earl of Wessex, The High Sheriff of Bristol and the Lord Mayor of Bristol.  It was a great inclusive morning and involved our young people and staff greeting The Earl on his arrival by waving flags as well being able to showcase skills including building tents. The Earl spoke to a number of students to hear about their D-of-E experiences and joined in with the tent building!

The visit was planned to thank local schools and organisations who run the D-of-E for their young people and showcase how doing the D-of-E could benefit more young people, schools, business and youth organisations in the area who are not yet involved.

On the day we were also joined by ITV and Bristol TV; film crew's followed the morning and interviewed one of our students for the local news!
