New Fosseway School takes the online safety of its students seriously and online safety is woven into our curriculum.
Students with special educational needs may be more vulnerable when using the internet and social media sites such as Facebook as they may not be aware that they are being bullied or that their own actions could be misunderstood as bullying. They may also not be able to judge when it is safe to share personal information online or how to report abuse.
Below is our E-Safety Powerpoint Presentation that was shared with families who were able to attend our Internet Safety Coffee Morning on 2nd March 2020. We will be running a follow up event where you will be able to bring in your devices to see if we are able to help with matters to support your child's online safety, such as ensuring appropriate restrictions are in place. If you have anyone questions please contact Jo Payne (Transition/Family Engagement Coordinator) or Michael Williams (ICT Lead).
Below are some links that may support your child's e-safety at home.
