Welcome to the Birds Nest Café located in our VC building.  The café is led by our Café Manager Matt.  Our young people in Tropics House help Matt and our Catering Assistant Teresa to run the café whilst working towards catering based qualifications to help to prepare them for adulthood and the world of work.

A typical day of working in the café may include:

• Sorting deliveries
• Making orders for the café
• Monitoring the lunch orders
• Food preparation and cooking
• Barista service
• Food service
• Cleaning
• Laundry

The Birds Nest Café is a thriving environment where we welcome our children and young people across the campus; it is a great away to support the development of social skills, money skills and employability skills.  Additionally, the café is open to service for staff from both New Fosseway and Bridge Learning Campus.  Our catering learners also do a great job in preparing food and refreshments for events and meetings taking place in the school.
