Viktor chose from pictures which weather he wanted - he chose rain and then he recorded his preferred youtube video and recorded it using a big mac. He then picked his favourite picture of rain which we then put into the background of the video. Well done Viktor!
In term 4 we have been learning about ICT making and recording sounds....we have been using the sound beam!
This term 4 we have been doing some food play to help us with our sensory needs, eating and trying new things!

In History we have been learning about local industries in Bristol
During term 1 we have explored our community in PSHE and in Music. We went to Ashton court to do camping community songs, we explored the history of Bristol's music and we explored what a community is and which communities we belong too. Fantastic work Penguins!
Diyan has had the headteachers award for good communication! Well done Diyan!
In celebration of the Queen's 90th birthday, Penguin class participated in a royal procession through the hall to parents and carers wearing their own decorated crowns and some of the class came in fancy dress! Throughout the day they also explored the royal family and decorated flags and pictures of Windsor castle as well as enjoying a tea party in the sensory garden in the afternoon.
Key Stage 2 went on a school trip to Cattle Country! It was a great day with lots of different activities to get involved in. Penguin class made the most out of the soft play area and the slides but they also went on the bouncing pillows, explored the castle and looked at the animals!
Before the half term, Penguin class got involved in Creative Arts Week! They participated in several activities throughout the week such as drumming, traditional Brazilian dancing and hat making and making our own versions of Monet paintings!

Penguin class visited Jamaica in Geography and encountered warm weather by looking through sand and shells.

This term in science we have been exploring rocks. Penguin class went on a trip to Cheddar Gorge to explore rock erosion!
We had a visit from Ross who is a paramedic. He showed us how he helps people when they are hurt.
Penguin class went to the local library to explore how a library works and how to get books out. We also did some reading whilst we were there!
This term Penguin class have been learning about healthy living. We have made our own bread and smoothies and we are practicing cleaning our teeth every day.
Penguin class went sailing in Bristol today. They really enjoyed being on the boat and visiting the Seeds of Change Garden on the way back.
Penguins had a great day exploring Weston Super Mare! We were learning all about the change in seasons, and exploring what people do in the summer season so they visited the beach and had a fantastic time splashing in the sea.
In music we have been exploring different instruments. Everyone enjoyed exploring and using the piano and the guitar.
Penguins went to Cattle Country on a trip. We went on the train and boats, jumped on the bouncy pillows, played in the park, and saw lots of farm animals. We had lots of fun!
Penguins went to Westonbirt Arboretum for a trip. We walked around the woods and then found the Gruffalo. We did lots of walking in the warm sunshine.
Penguin Class learnt about Italy. We listened to Italian music, did some artwork based on Giuseppe Arcimboldo, and then went to Pizza Hut, to try Italian food.
Penguin Class have been going on journeys to different countries. We went to Australia, and did some aboriginal art.
In Geography, we have been exploring different types of transport and how people travel. We went to Bristol Airport to explore the terminal and watch the planes take off.
In science, we went Bristol Zoo and explored variation in wild animals.
In Science, went to Hartcliffe Farm and explored variation in animals.
In Science, we went to B&Q Garden Centre to look at variation in plants.

Penguin class have been busy baking! The students made scones that looked very impressive and very tasty! After all the excitement of cooking, the students moved onto puzzles and drawing.
