We visited Weston-Super-Mare to explore the seaside! We went onthe pier to play on the rides, then we shared chips together and then ate our picnic on the beach. We had lots of fun!

In English, Parrots have been listening to the Gruffelo story. We also experienced different countries like Jamaica and Sweden through touch and sound.
In Maths, Parrots have been looking at shapes. We have been finding different shapes all around the school. We draw shapes with our fingers on the table with support.
In Science this term, we have been experiencing different habitats such as the rain forest, arctic and beach through touch, sound and smell.

ICT - Lights, Cameras and Action

In term 4, Parrot class have been looking at cameras and taking photographs. We had a fashion show for KS2 where they pretended to take photos. We enjoyed dressing up and saying hello to everyone.
In ICT we have been looking at what technology we use and using buttons. We made smoothies and toast by adding ingredients and pressing buttons to make things happen. We also took turns using the foot spa, pressing the button to make it bubble and vibrate.
In History, Parrots have been learning about Victorians and Isambard Kingdom Brunel's life. We have been looking at the bridge and boat he designed.
In R.E we have been learning about different pilgrimages across different religions, we have experienced going on sacred journeys and Lordes.
In cooking, parrot class have been feeling and smelling ingredients, before chopping and preparing the food with support. Some students taste the food we make.
IN MFL, parrots have been learning some French. We have learnt how to say hello and goodbye and looked at weather in French. This Easter, we have been learning the colours in French and made Easter bonnets.

Geography - Rivers

In Geography, Parrots have been learning about rivers. We made paper mountains and sprayed water on them to show how rain travels down into rivers. We poured water outside to see where it goes, made clay rivers and visited our local river.
