Staff Governor - Head Teacher
I am the Headteacher at New Fosseway. I am a firm believer that all children and young people can achieve great things, no matter their starting points. I have experience of leadership in both mainstream and special education and understand the value of inclusive education for all.
Outside of work, I am a huge fan of all things sci-fi and fantasy, and it is my hope that my son will grow up loving Harry Potter and Star Wars as much as me!
Claire Furneaux (parent at New Fosseway)
I have been a governor at New Fosseway since October 2016 after my daughter joined the school the previous month. I am very keen on being part of the school team and doing my part to help support the staff and pupils to achieve the very best possible during their time at New Fosseway. My husband and I ran a multimedia company for 10 years before specialising in the investigation of computer fraud. I am currently serving as Health and Safety Governor and look forward to seeing the school continue to improve and work together with the wider community to achieve an outstanding provision. I'm a keen, but not very productive gardener and spend a lot of time doing volunteer work in the community.
I have been a Governor at New Fosseway since September 2016. I am a qualified Accountant and spent all my career working in the Brewing Industry specialising in the implementation and management of Financial Systems. I currently chair the Finance and Resources Sub-Committee
Tom worked at Woodstock special school for 18 years. He was a founding Director of Catchpoint Consultancy providing therapeutic support mainly to adoptive families. He now works freelance as a trainer and consultant in education and care services. He is a member of local Adoption and Fostering panels. He is link governor for Looked After Children and Special Educational Needs.
